1. School Pictures - Pictures will be taken Friday, September 14. The picture information and envelope is stapled
to the note sent home. Please return the envelope and picture money by Tuesday, September 11.
2.Inclement Weather - Announcements about the closing of school because of weather or other emergencies will be
made on the radio and television stations listed below. When weather is inclement, parents should listen to the news broadcasts.

3. Soup Labels - Help! Help! Help! Help us save Campbell Soup Labels for equipment for our building again this
year. Please send just the front side.
4. Pop Tops - Help by saving pop tops - they will go to Iowa City for the Ronald McDonald House.
5. Box Tops for Education - We are fortunate that Justine McGarvey collects and sends box tops in for us and we
receive 10 cents for each box top.
6. Prevent Lost Items - Please help us reduce our lost and found items by marking your children's coats, boots,
hats, etc. This will help you as well as us.
7. State Law - State Law requires the school to have a signed statement from the parent and doctor that allows
us to administer medication to students. Please ask for this permission form if your child needs medication.
8. Absences - If you child is sick or is going to be absent from school for any reason, would you please call
the school on that day to let us know. This tells us that your child is safe at home or you know where he/she is.
9. Breakfast Notes - We will be serving breakfast each day from 7:50 until 8:15. If you would like your child
to eat breakfast, please give him/her the OK. If you qualify for free lunches, breakfast is also free. If you qualify for
reduced lunches, breakfast costs 30 cents. Regular price of breakfast is 90 cents.
10. Town Students - Students should not come to school before 8:00 AM unless special arrangements have been made
or if eating breakfast. Students should go directly home after school.
11. 1 Hour Early Dismissal - Just a reminder that we will be dismissing 1 hour early on the day proceeding a holiday.
This will include Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and Memorial Day.
