JUST A REMINDER - We are still collecting and continue to collect all during the year Box Tops for Education, Kemps Nickels for School, and Target Take Charge of Education Program with all monies donated to our D-G Elementary Building Fund. We thank you for your continued support for these programs.

STUDENT COUNCIL READING HELPERS - The Student Council has purchased Reading Helpers and will be selling them for $1.50. Carol Reed, teacher, guidance counselor, tutor, and educational consultant developed the READING HELPER as an aid for beginning and experienced readers who need help in focusing. Simply place the READING HELPER on top of the line to be read. The colored plastic highlights the line enabling the reader to easily focus and concentrate on the words.

K-5 MATH FACTS CD-ROM - We still have Math Facts CD-Roms available for $4.00. If you are interested, please contact the office.

PENCIL/TABLET SHOP - FRIDAYS - The Student Council will be selling pencils and tablets every Friday morning beginning at 8:05 - pencils will sell for 25 cents, pencil grips for 25 cents, erasers for 25 cents, and tablets will sell for 75 cents.

STUDENT BOOK ORDERS - We ask that all checks for any student book orders (Scholastic, Trumpet, Troll, etc.) be made out directly to the companies and not to the school. This will help speed up the book orders so that the students will receive them quicker. If possible, we would appreciate a check instead of cash. Thank you so much for your help with this matter.

ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL - A written excuse must be brought following an absence regardless of length of absence. The written excuse is of the utmost importance because all students must be accounted for.

LUNCH ACCOUNTS - the school district policy on lunch accounts is: Students are not allowed to charge except under unusual circumstances. All 4 buildings are again following this policy this school year.

TOWN STUDENTS - Students should not come to school before 8:00 a.m. unless special arrangements have been made or if eating breakfast. Students should go directly home after school.

TARGET SHOPPING - Help our school by shopping at Target. Just use your Target Guest Card when making purchases at Target. Target will donate 1% of your purchases to our school. Enrolling is a breeze. Simply apply for a Target Guest Card by picking up an application at any Target Store. If you already have a Target Guest Card, call 1-800-316-6142 and sign up to have our school receive the donation. It's that easy! Our donations are at $152.52 so far this year. The donations we receive from School Fundraising Made Simple will be donated to the D-G Elementary Building Fund.

TOWN STUDENTS DISMISSAL - 3:10 - Since our day ends at 3:10, we ask that persons picking up students please wait in the front hall by the office until 3:10. Thanks so much for helping us with this.

SCHOOL BUS INFORMATION REMINDER - Just a reminder that when a student is not planning on riding on the regular bus route either in the morning or afternoon, we must have a note or call from the parent to let the school know.
Students riding home on a bus on which they are not scheduled must bring a note stating their destination and granting perfmission from their parents. This note should be shown to the teacher and the office then given to the bus driver. This procedure is necessary to avoid confusion.

Buses will not make unscheduled stops to let students off once they have started their regular route. Students who normally ride the bus but who are picked up by their parents, will be dismissed with the walkers and not the bus students.

Just a reminder that from 7:45-8:00 in the morning and 3:15-3:30 in the afternoon, there is NO PARKING in front of the school. Thank you!
